The Sheriff's Fugitive Apprehension Unit is tasked primarily with locating and arresting individuals with outstanding Child Support Warrants. The hard work of the Deputies in this unit has resulted in the arrest of individuals owing hundreds of thousands of dollars to families in the State of Rhode Island.

The Apprehension Unit also works closely with federal and local law enforcement agencies to locate and arrest fugitives wanted for other criminal matters.
